Jack was timid and a little hard to catch but
once haltered he was quiet and gentle. He is halter broke but due to
his age we did not ride him. He is flashy, kind eyed and young. He
was sound at time of assessment. A great winter project, put some
ground work on him and you will have a fancy riding horse in a
couple of years. Well put together. Jack is a two to three
years old Quarter Horse cross.

There are alternatives to auctions and
slaughter houses for horses. Look for a good home through friends, your
vet and farrier. Search the internet for SPCA’s, humane societies,
animal control agencies, horse clubs, or
rescues which may be able help. Be
careful about who takes your horse, they
could be headed for the slaughterhouse. |
